Interesting facts and figures on the 15th game week of the tipico Bundesliga

The Red Bulls had a horrendous day in Altach yesterday. Coach Adi Hütter travelled with a 16-man squad, which included Duje Caleta-Car, Konrad Laimer and Smail Prevljak from FC Liefering. The youngsters thereby got the chance to make up for the injured absences in the squad.

Smail Prevljak made his debut in the Austrian top flight in the 63rd minute. Konrad Laimer made his first start. 

The Red Bulls had some further injury blows to contend with. Shortly before the start of the game, Kavin Kampl was forced out due to pain at the back of his left thigh. He was replaced in the starting line-up by Naby Keita.

At half-time Peter Ankersen then needed to be substituted off with an injury. He picked up a blow on his hip at the end of the first half and was treated in the dressing room.

The biggest defeat for the Red Bulls this season (who have not conceded four goals in a match since August 2012), nonetheless saw a superb performance from goalkeeper Peter Gulacsi, who prevented an even bigger defeat with some sensational saves.

Coach Adi Hütter did not want to make any excuses for the defeat, despite the club’s poor injury luck and a tired group of players. He said: “We were the poorer team in all regards today, but we actually had a chance to come back and win after equalising at 1-1. After playing on Thursday it is always tough in the league. It was a shame too that Kevin Kampl was out. Despite that, I am annoyed at the manner in which we lost today. We need to put this match behind us quickly now.”
