Successful Liefering coach signs contract until 2017 | Richard Kitzbichler and Gerhard Struber as assistants | Coach to be introduced tomorrow

The new FC Red Bull Salzburg coach is Peter Zeidler. The 52-year-old German signed a contract yesterday running until 30.06.2017.

Zeidler has proved his coaching ability in Germany and France, and has been head coach of FC Liefering since September 2012, where he led the Salzburg youngsters to second place in the Sky Go Erste Liga. In this period he has also been able to develop several players for the Red Bulls’ first team.

Head of football Christoph Freund says on the decision: “Peter Zeidler knows our philosophy inside out and has been working successfully for a few years with FC Liefering. He is a coach whose work we know well and whose quality we are convinced of.”

Peter Zeidler says on his new role: “I am delighted that the club has decided to appoint me. It is a great and exciting job for me to coach FC Red Bull Salzburg, and I can’t wait to start working with the team, along with the coaching and support staff.”
