Player of the month for July

Adeyemi, Kristensen, Sesko and Junuzovic on short list

July was when it all finally got going again. we leapt out of the starting blocks, winning in the cup, the league and also against Atletico Madrid. who will win our player of the month honour though?

Voting is open until Sunday at 22:00 CET and includes the following candidates:

Karim Adeyemi

There is barely any need to canvas on Karim's behalf any more. Karim has carried on where he left off - with the kind of form that took him to our Player of the Month honours in April and May. He became a European Champion with Germany U21 and came back to us bearing goals. His two goals and assist against Sturm and winning goal against Atletico made us jump out of our seats. Karim deserves to be the front runner in the July vote.

Rasmus Kristensen

The cool blond with the angular face extended his contract over the summer and further cemented his place in our fans' hearts. When he came out of the tunnel in our first home match and did a lap around the stadium to thank the fans, you can feel the connection, which comes from his ultra-committed performances. He supplied fireworks in Graz by sprinting for 50 metres and sending a bullet header into the net.

Benjamin Sesko

"The name's Sesko!“ What an introduction it has been to top-level football for Benji. Our young Slovenian put the ball into the net twice against Hertha Welse and gave the Sturm Graz defence a torrid time too. He deserved more than hitting the woodwork twice. His name is one everyone has on their list, however.

Zlatko Junuzovic

Sir Zlatko has started his 18th season as a professional footballer - and his form is as fine as ever. He pulled all the strings against Hertha Wels with a dominant and elegant performance, and captained our side in the absence of Andi Ulmer. He may not be one for barking orders, but he definitely led by example.
