OUR GROUND
The Red Bulls’ home matches are played at the Red Bull Arena in Salzburg, which has become a real fortress over the past few years and a second home for many fans.
The owner of the stadium is Stadion-Wals-Salzburg GmbH (SWS), a 100%-subsidiary of Land-Invest Salzburger Baulandsicherungsgesellschaft m.b.H.
The Red Bull Arena is a cashles and non-smoking ground.

As part of the takeover by Red Bull GmbH all areas of what would henceforth be known as the Red Bull Arena were brought up to world-class standards.

Extension to over-30,000 capacity begins.

Opening match of the new Red Bull Arena (30,188 attendance) against Arsenal (1-0 home win).
June 2008
Around 90,000 fans watched three group stage matches of UEFA Euro 2008 at the European Championship Stadium of Wals-Siezenheim.
July 2008
After taking back the Wals-Siezenheim Stadium at the start of July 2008 a new era of Austrian Bundesliga football began in Salzburg. From now on the upper tier would be open for domestic matches too. The Red Bull Arena now offered a capacity of 30,188 for domestic and European matches.

28,793 fans watched the match between FC Red Bull Salzburg and Fenerbahce at the Red Bull Arena. The stadium was sold out for a competitive match for the first time.
18 January 2014
30,188 fans come for the friendly match against FC Bayern Munich. FC Red Bull Salzburg stunned the German triple winners 3-0 just before the Austrian Bundesliga resumed again after the winter break.

After the end of the 2013/14 season there was a change of fan sectors at the Red Bull Arena over the summer. The Salzburg fans moved from the south stand to the new north stand. The capacity of the stadium for European matches was therefore increased slightly to 29,520.

A new European attendance record was set of 29,520 spectators in the sold-out Europa League last 16 home leg against Borussia Dortmund.

From the 2018/19 season, it was decided to open the upper tier of the Red Bull Arena to season-ticket holders only for Austrian Bundesliga and cup matches. The capacity for Austrian matches was therefore reduced to 17,218. Other sectors of the upper tier can be opened for European matches.
