Every year the Italian newspaper Tuttosport runs a Golden Boy vote for the best U21 talents in Europe. The top 100 for 2023 has now been announced and shows just how seriously we are taking the Football of Tomorrow – as there is no team with more nominated youngsters this year than us!
Tuttosport has published an index ranking for the first time in which players are ranked according to their Golden Boy Rating. In Oscar Gloukh (69th), new signing Petar Ratkov (61st), Maurits Kjaergaard (38th) and Lucas Gourna-Douath (11th) we have four boys with a rating. Another player with us last season, Benjamin Sesko (8), made the top ten and must have a good chance of winning the overall honour.
Sesko would not be the first player with FC Red Bull Salzburg connections to win the honour. In 2020, Erling Haaland was voted the best youngster, while Karim Adeyemi was voted Web Golden Boy in 2021 by the fans.
