Haris Tabakovic has transferred from the German Bundesliga to Salzburg with immediate effect. The robust, 1.96-metre-tall center forward has signed a contract with our Red Bulls until 2029 and will wear the number 9 jersey.

We are therefore strengthening our attack for the upcoming season with a player of international experience and proven goalscoring ability. Austrian football is not new territory for the Bosnian, who was born in Switzerland: with a total of 67 competitive goals for SC Austria Lustenau and Austria Vienna, he made his big breakthrough in Austria between 2020 and 2023.

He then demonstrated his clinical finishing in Germany, where he became the top scorer in Bundesliga 2 with 22 goals while playing for Hertha Berlin. Most recently, the Bosnian international was under contract with TSG Hoffenheim and spent time on loan at Borussia Mönchengladbach, where he underlined his quality in the German top flight with 13 goals last season.

Following his recent World Cup appearance with the Bosnian national team, the striker is currently on extended leave and will join training in approximately two weeks.
