He has retained the title! Roko Simic won the vote for Player of the Month in October 2023 in a head-to-head battle against Oscar Gloukh to claim the award for the second successive month. It was a very close-run thing, with just 300 votes swinging it in the Croat's favour.
The result of our October 2023 award:
1st place - Roko Simic (39.48 %)
Roko Simic always puts in an incredibly important pressing shift, which is crucial for our play. The Croatian also showed in Milan that he has all the technique needed to play at the very highest level too, taking down a high ball from Luka Sucic perfectly to set up our equaliser. The 20-year-old scored himself against Austria Klagenfurt. Ultimately, you decided that our winner of the September Player of the Month vote deserved to defend his crown!
2nd place - Oscar Gloukh (33.54 %)
The Israeli has proved to be an inspired creative force in our midfield. Oscar Gloukh scored a great goal against Inter Milan, while the 19-year-old provided an assist for our first goal against Altach with a perfectly weighted cross.
3rd place - Alexander Schlager (13.98 %)
He saved virtually everything there was to save for us and was a bedrock to the Austrian national team in EURO 2024 qualifying too. Alex Schlager ended the month with a clean sheet.
4th place - Mads Bidstrup (13.00 %)
