After the verdict today at the European Court of Justice on the subject of a ‘Super League’, FC Red Bull Salzburg has made the following statement:

FC Red Bull Salzburg supports the position that a sustainable future for European football can only be ensured by a co-operation of clubs through the ECA in a close partnership with UEFA and FIFA. We strongly support the values of the European football community. Retaining national leagues and qualification for European competitions on sporting merit are parts of that. While the verdict of the European Court of Justice might legitimise a Super League, it does not make its introduction, which we do not support in any way as a club, inevitable.
