Our friendly match against Legia Warsaw fell victim to the heavy rain yesterday. With the weather forecast looking poor for the days ahead in Bramberg am Wildkogel, our Red Bulls are to end their training camp early.
The boys will therefore return this morning to Salzburg and will hold the remaining training sessions planned for this week at their Taxham training ground.
Sporting director Christoph Freund says on the decision:
The people in Bramberg have done excellent work and tried everything they could, but the weather did not want to play its part in the end. We need every single training session to prepare as best as possible for the intensive season ahead. Our training centre is an excellent alternative, and we will continue to work there as well as playing our friendly match against Legia Warsaw today.
New kick-off time for Legia friendly
Our change of plans will see our friendly match v Legia Warsaw rearranged for today. The encounter against the Polish top flight side will take place at 15:00 CET in the Red Bull Academy in Liefering behind closed doors. The possibility of a live stream is currently still being examined by us.
