45-year-old American to take position of head coach in the summer
45-year-old american Jesse Marsch, is to take charge in summer 2019 as head coach of our club and is signing a three-year contract.

Jesse Marsch is currently assistant coach at German Bundesliga club RB Leipzig. The former professional footballer (who played for CD Chivas, Chicago Fire, DC United and made two appearances for the US national team) has also been head coach of two Major League Soccer clubs, Montreal Impact and New York Red Bulls. As coach of the New Yorkers, Jesse Marsch in 2015 won the Supporters Shield (for the team with the most points in the regular season) and was also voted Coach of the Year.

That is going to be a new challenge for me, and I can't wait for it. I still have a lot to do with RB Leipzig until then to finish the season in the best possible way. I am concentrating completely on that before my new role at FC Red Bull Salzburg starts.
