Big friendly v Liverpool arranged

On 25 August in front of 1250 spectators at the Red Bull Arena

a friendly reunion

As part of our pre-season we have arranged a friendly match at short notice against some familiar world-class opponents. English champions Liverpool FC are to return to the Red Bull Arena on 25 August, with the match against the side featuring our former players Takumi Minamino, Naby Keita and Sadio Mane to kick off at 16:00 CET. ServusTV is to broadcast the match live.

The match was made possible by the Reds having to relocate a training camp planned in Evian-les-Bains in France due to the Covid-19 pandemic. Together with SLFC, the reigning Champions League winners were able to plan a training camp in the Salzburg region at short notice.

We will stick to our 'loyalty pays' motto and give our season-ticket holders the opportunity to win tickets for the match. All holders of a season ticket will receive a newsletter by email with a link they can click on to register for the ticket draw. Registrations must be made by Tuesday 18 August by midnight Austrian time. Every winner will receive two tickets in order to invite another season-ticket holder with them. Confirmation will be sent to winners by email.

Stephan Reiter is looking forward to the highlight in the Red Bull Arena, saying:

It is an honour for us that thanks to the contacts we made last year with the Liverpool hierarchy, they approached us to try to help them find an alternative base for their training camp. We are even more pleased, of course, especially for our fans, to be able to host a big friendly match as part of this.

We are looking forward to a fantastic festival of football!
