This is Aleksa Terzic

The Serbian speedster

One of them became the defensive boss at Partizan, and the other played their way to the top at Red Star. Strahinja Pavlovic and new signing Aleksa Terzic developed their footballing careers just a few hundred metres apart in Belgrade, coincidentally turning into a duo capable of shining together in the Serbian national team. Despite the animosity between the top Serbian clubs, a friendship has emerged between the pair that is set to flourish in Salzburg. Strahinja has his part to play in this circumstance.

We have been friends for six or seven years. He is like a brother to me. Pavlo has been calling me the whole time and asking constantly if I am joining. He keeps on saying how wonderful it is here.

We therefore have the well-known determination of our number 31 to thank for the new arrival! Aleksa increasingly became a dependable regular for Fiorentina as the last Serie A season went on. The left-back, who will play with a mask for the foreseeable future due to a facial injury, had a big part to play in La Viola's European adventures -  reaching the UEFA Europa Conference League final last season.

The people at the club here always helped me if I needed something or asked a question. I had the feeling that they were determined to get me.

Due to the speed that Terzic is happy to describe as one of his biggest strengths, he was endearingly termed Il Carro by Fiorentina fans (the sports car). It was a very apt moniker, with the tricky full-back registering a speed of 36.22 kilometres per hour in Serie A - faster than anyone else in the Italian top flight in 2022/23.

Our dear rivals therefore better watch out! The Aleksa Express is now a part of the Red Bulls - and we are all getting on board!
