Trying to translate the surname of our new Danish addition confronts us with the suggestion of "biting in the throat." Just the kind of qualities we'd be delighted to have in midfield! It's not for nothing, after all, that Brentford fans termed Mads 'Pitbull' during his spell at the Premier League club.

A hard-running presser with an exceptional passing ability - those are the kind of attributes that helped the right-footed player to short cameo appearances against Arsenal and Manchester City in the Premier League! On the subject of his running ability - our new number 18 underwent a running test with the rest of the Brentford squad a few days ago and was the fastest of the bunch! Nobody else could match his 1,000 metres with changes of direction in a time of two minutes and 57 seconds.

The 22-year-old has just spent 18 months on loan in his home country. Mads helped FC Nordsjaelland as a regular to a runners-up spot in 2022/23. The former FC Kopenhagen player put an average shift of 12.9 kilometres in per 90 minutes - for comparison, that is more than any player in the Premier League!

The midfielder has played in all Danish international youth teams since U16 level and has lined up alongside Maurits Kjaergaard many times. The Danish duo are set to join up again in our midfield.

All that remains to be said is: Hjertelig velkommen, Mads!
