While all is quiet still on the stands of the Red Bull Arena, in the last week around 100 street footballers flocked underneath the stadium to have some real fun.
Together with the Kings of Klessheim, we welcomed footballers from Salzburg, Berlin, Barcelona and Amsterdam in the first stop of the Street Masters series, including street football legend Edward van Gils. They all created a special FIFA Street atmosphere, the kind of which can usually only be found on games consoles.
There was huge demand as soon as we announced the event, with all spots in the 3v3 tournament in our underground car park booked out within an hour. The trophy will stay in Salzburg as the local side from Klessheim won the tournament.
Who are the Kings of Klessheim?
The Kings of Klessheim are a Street Football community with the ambitious goal of promoting street football in Austria and beyond. The Kings have organised various co-operations in the past with organisations from Europe (including Barcelona, Geneva and Hamburg) and are planning to grow further in 2023 with their Street Masters series and tournaments in various spots in and around Salzburg.
