While our Red Bulls are hard at work in Flachau preparing for the new season, we’re using the breaks between sessions to get the new faces on the team to share some personal secrets and give us a glimpse into their daily lives at the training camp. Today is the turn of Nikolas Veratschnig.

5 training camp questions for Nikolas Veratschnig

#1 | If you had to describe the training camp with a playlist, what would it be?

Nikolas: "A heavy German rap playlist, because it's really strenuous and there's always such ups and downs in energy – something like that, probably."

#2 | Have you already explored the hotel fully?

Nikolas: "Not everywhere yet, to be honest. Of course, I've been to the gym with the team. Yesterday, on my own, I spent the afternoon off with Dominik [Schmid] in the spa area and then went for a refreshing dip in the Enns River right in front of the hotel. It's really nice here!"

#3 | How do the training sessions at the camp differ from those back home in Taxham?

Nikolas: "I'd say it's perhaps a bit more intense because we use the time specifically for it here, but otherwise, for me personally, it's not a huge difference."

#4 | Who's the wildest cyclist on the way to the training ground?

Nikolas: "We all ride very carefully and normally. Adam [Daghim] had a close call yesterday with some oncoming cyclists, but otherwise, we all take good care."

#5 | Who do you sit with at the table during meals, and who provides the most entertainment?

Nikolas: "Mostly with Dominik Schmid, Frans Krätzig, and Tim Drexler, sometimes also with Yorbe Vertessen. We switch it up regularly. We all know how to create a good atmosphere!"
