At the age of 18 years and 4 months old, Dijon Kameri made his competitive debut for our Red Bulls in August 2022 v SK Austria Klagenfurt, and just a week later he scored his first goal for us. The youngster, who has played for us since the U7 age group, has even shown what he can do in the UEFA Champions League.
It was therefore pleasant news but no great surprise to hear Dijon had been named 2022 Young Star of the Year at the Krone Football Festival. Thanks to your support, the 18-year-old ÖFB U21 international saw off various other young Austrian Bundesliga talents in the voting.
In conversation with the Kronen Zeitung, he looked back on his meteoric rise in the autumn:
I often think things are going very quickly. It was always my dream! That everything has happened so suddenly makes it even better, and it's an indescribable feeling.
