While the blue sky shimmered through the clouds on the Salzburg horizon, a focused and optimistic atmosphere prevailed as the Beichler era began. After a speech in the dressing room, the moment arrived at 14:00 CET. Together with our Red Bulls, our new coach headed out onto the Taxham training pitch for the first time. During Daniel Beichler's time as a coach at the Red Bull Academy, no fewer than 14 of our current players – from Soumaila Diabate and Tim Trummer to Christian Zawieschitzky – trained or played under him.

Nearly 90 minutes of full-on training with a variety of drills and exercises, despite the cold, got the sweat working. The day wasn't over yet, though. At 17:30 CET, the official press conference for the new coach took place as Daniel Beichler and Marcus Mann, our managing director for sport, answered questions from the media.

We are convinced that working with Daniel is a path to success. He has a clear vision of how we play on and off the ball, how we can create chances, and how to set guidelines for the players.

Internal solutions have often worked very well here. We want this path to be followed from the academy to FC Red Bull Salzburg, not only for the players but also for the staff and coaches.

The expectation to work at our absolute best is always there. We now have the opportunity to fully focus on our domestic competitions. It's crucial to be aware of what each individual match means and to be even sharper in decisive moments.

Everything has happened very quickly. For me, it's a huge privilege to be the coach here, and I'm extremely excited about this new challenge. It was really fun getting to know the lads in the first training session today and getting some first impressions. We have no time to lose - with so little remaining, we have to use it to the fullest.

Our aim is to play intense and proactive football. We need the right mindset and the conviction to win the game against LASK and control the match – and there's nothing better than starting with a game like this.

Ultimately, it's about winning titles. That's our ambition as a club. Now it's primarily about how we achieve that, because simply wishing for it isn't enough. The best thing is to work hard and do quality work too.
