Thanks to the recently agreed partnership between the Turbo für Talente youth development project from Porsche and the Red Bull Football Academy, our co-operation partner for youth work, our U15 youth team will take part in the Porsche Football Cup at Borussia Park in Mönchengladbach for the first time.
Along with facing the hosts, the Salzburg youngsters will face the young footballers of the Stuttgart Kickers, RB Leipzig and Erzgebirge Aue.
Host club Borussia Mönchengladbach are to broadcast this Sunday (25 September) the third-place play-off (13:30 CET) and final (14:30 CET) on a live stream.
The tournament provides a perfect opportunity for us to compete with other top teams. It is a welcome change from the ÖFB youth league, where our boys are usually tested week after week. Every international tournament also offers a range of new experiences that will help the players as their careers progress, and also help them in the everyday life.
