We have agreed a new contract with Karim Konate! The striker from the Ivory Coast who recently turned 19 has committed to our Red Bulls until 30 June 2028.

30 goals in 39 appearances

Karim Konate joined us in Salzburg a year ago and has already impressed with his incredible goalscoring rate. As a cooperation player at FC Liefering, he scored 15 times in 18 matches (and provided three assists). For the Young Bulls in the UEFA Youth League he smashed six goals in seven matches (plus two assists). He has already netted nine times for our first team in 14 matches (plus three assists), including in the 2-1 home win against Sturm Graz in May in which we sealed the title.

The young striker with eight caps for Ivory Coast is top scorer currently of the new Austrian Bundesliga season - with four goals - and he scored a brace in the first round of the cup.

Karim has not been in Salzburg for long at all but has already shown that he has an incredible ability. He is an extremely talented player who we are certain will make his mark and further progress in his career with us. We are really pleased to accompany Karim as he develops and will do everything we can to get the successes we want together.
