Nico Mantl is moving to the Danish Superligaen, and has signed a loan contract until the summer at top-flight Aalborg BK.
The 22-year-old German arrived to Salzburg from Unterhaching in January 2021 and has made ten appearances for our Red Bulls since.
We will therefore resume the season with a trio of goalkeepers - Philipp Köhn, Adam Stejskal and Alexander Walke.
Sporting director Christoph Freund says:
It's important for Nico to get playing time now. We hope that this will be the case with his loan move. We are well stocked in the goalkeeping position for the rest of the season and have complete faith in Philipp, Adam and Alex.
