It is now confirmed. Oscar Gloukh is leaving FC Red Bull Salzburg to join Ajax in the Dutch Eredivisie, signing a contract for five years.

Joining Salzburg aged 18

After over two years and 101 appearances for our Red Bulls, our skillful two-footed midfield magician is leaving Salzburg. With rumours of a potential move to the Netherlands circulating for some time, things have now fallen into place and the 21-time Israeli international is joining the 36-time Dutch champions.

Oscar Gloukh is leaving us after one league title, 23 competitive goals, 29 assists and lots of top-level experience.

I think the time is right for Oscar Gloukh to make a move, and his new club is a perfect match for him, just as FC Red Bull Salzburg was back then. The talks with Ajax, which have only been ongoing for a few days, have all been constructive, and the overall financial package is also satisfactory for us. We are saying goodbye to a great player with enormous talent in Oscar, and I expect we'll be hearing a lot more from him in the coming years. We wish him all the best!

FC Red Bull Salzburg were my first club abroad, and I was able to learn so much here. My decision to move here has shown to be a perfect decision. The highlights of the two and a half years were, of course, our many Champions League matches and, as a fitting farewell, the Club World Cup matches, which I will probably never forget.
