Marvellous Red Bulls inspire Mali win

Three goal involvements

Our Mali marvels certainly have something to celebrate! The national team won their second of two African Cup qualification matches. Our boys had a big hand to play in the victory too.

At half-time Mohamed Camara & Co. were 0-1 down to South Sudan. In the 58th minute, our midfield dynamo, who has been offering plenty of attacking threat lately, struck the equaliser. From then on, it was all Mali, who threatened continually despite being down to ten men. It remained tense until right at the very end, however.

In the third minute of stoppage time, Sekou Koita pounced with a header to make it 2-1! Mali then went to make it 3-1 with the third Red Bull in the match, Dorgeles Nene, providing the assist. Well done, boys! You can see the highlights here:

Clash against World Champions tonight

Our two Red Bulls did not have such a happy time yesterday in the UEFA Nations League. Benji Sesko started for Slovenia as they played out a goalless draw with Norway. Noah Okafor came on as a substitute in Switzerland's 0-1 defeat to Spain.

Our Austria internationals Nici Seiwald and Maximilian Wöber are up against the World Champions tonight. At 20:45 Austria are to play France in the Nations League at the Ernst Happel Stadium in Vienna – with the power on and no holes in the pitch this time, hopefully. The match will be shown live on ORF 1
