After several training sessions and our friendly win against Sparta Prague, our Red Bulls were taking it a bit easier on Tuesday - but there was no chance of them putting their feet up entirely. Matthias Jaissle, Philipp Köhn, Benji Sesko and others grabbed the padel rackets while some other players had interviews to participate in.
Most of our boys used the day off (despite the rain) for a bit of sightseeing and saw the day out in a leisurely style at the team hotel - which we are sharing with MLS club Vancouver Whitecaps, incidentally.
That was that as far as time off goes in Spain. There was a full day of training again on Wednesday, and another one is planned on Thursday before the training camp ends at 16:00 CET on Friday with a friendly match v Karlsruhe SC.
The conditions here are perfect. Snow is forecast in Austria, after all, so it's more pleasant to train here as far as the weather is concerned. The hotel and the training camp are wonderful, and we are working hard on preparing for our first competitive matches.
I went into town with a few of the boys yesterday, and we ate lunch together. It's my first ever time in the region, so the free time in Marbella was a really exciting chance to get a breather.
We have worked really intensively in recent days, had a lot of fun and are enjoying the time. The conditions and the weather are really top!
