End of our training camp in Marbella

Ten intensive days behind us

It was time to say ¡Hasta luego, Marbella! today as we are now heading back to Salzburg. Yesterday's convincing friendly win was the perfect way to round off our time in Spain – now we are looking forward to it all getting going again!

Narrow defeat followed by thumping win

Our boys clearly learned their lessons from the 2-3 defeat against Elversberg and the numerous training and analysis sessions - serving up a thumping 6-0 win against Norwegian champions Bodö-Glimt.

The performance was as convincing as the scoreline suggests - and the goals were a real treat! There will be a highlights video posted soon showing all six goals from Friday.

What else happened in the past few days?

  • Youngster Adam Daghim, who scored a dream goal against Bodö-Glimt, extended his contract with us until 2028. There is an interview with the Dane here:

  • Our defensive duo of Leandro Morgalla and Samson Baidoo took time to answer questions on Instagram. Excerpts from their fan Q&A can be found here:

  • Lucas Gourna-Douath showed with a room tour how our boys spent a typical evening at a training camp and what their rooms looked like. You can see the results in a video:

Our preparation period is far from over, as we will keep on working away in Taxham to prepare for the big restart – which could barely be any bigger with a UNIQA ÖFB Cup quarter-final tie against LASK on Friday 2 February (TO AWAY INFO) as well as the big first match of 2024 in the ADMIRAL Bundesliga against Sturm Graz on 9 February (GET YOUR TICKETS NOW!)

There remain close to two weeks of training in which to fine tune. Next Saturday at 27 January we are to host Polish top-flight side Slask Wroclaw at 14:00 CET in Taxham.

Our boys have the next two days off in which to rest after ten intensive days of training - and will then be back working with full intensity.
