Magicians, poachers and miracle recoveries

Our co-operation players

We spent Tuesday taking a look at how our loan players are faring, and now it's time to check up on our co-operation players. Let's see how the quintet have got on so far this season in the second tier in Liefering and Kapfenberg:

Luis Vasquez (SV Kapfenberg)

Two points from 11 matches was the meagre output when coach Abdulah Ibrakovic took charge in the middle of October. And Ibrakadabra – all has been well since! Kapfenberg have taken seven points since he returned to the helm, putting the side seventh in the table. Our Colombian defensive artist has been a regular starter.

Lawrence Agyekum (FC Liefering)

The hard-working Ghanaian celebrated his 19th birthday last week. That certainly wasn't the only thing he's had to cheer about this autumn. Liefering coach Fabio Ingolitsch has placed great faith in the number eight, mostly starting him. Lawrence's performances have not gone unnoticed by Matthias Jaissle. He has three Austrian Bundesliga appearances – including 81 minutes of a table-topping clash against Sturm – as well as a UNIQA ÖFB Cup last 16 tie at Admira under his belt.

Moussa Yeo (FC Liefering)

The 1.72-metre youngster started in the second division against Amstetten just a week after his move. His sensational performances in training are well known. He is exuberant and confident in possession – attributes that the Malian gave to help our UEFA Youth League team progress.

Karim Konate (FC Liefering)

The numbers speak for themselves - 20 appearances in the league as well as in the elite competition for European youngsters and 15 goals scored. While the season for FC Liefering has only come good shortly before the winter break, the boy capped five times for the Ivory Coast has already shone on many occasions. You don't have to be a prophet to say the technically polished attacker strong in the air is capable of achieving great things.

Oumar Diakite (FC Liefering)

Konate's strike partner is not far behind him when it comes to eye-popping stats. He has nine goal involvements to his name in 13 appearances in the Austrian second tier. The Ivorian managed that despite being out for two months after suffering an injury in June. The powerful attacker has missed just ten minutes of play since the start of September.
