FC Red Bull Salzburg have extended Valentin Zabransky’s contract ahead of time until 30 June 2030. This ties the talented youngster to us for the longer term.

The Salzburg Way

The tall central defender arrived in Salzburg from the FC Stadlau youth setup at the beginning of 2021, subsequently playing for the Red Bull Academy at U15, U16 and U18 levels. This was followed by 28 appearances for our partner club, FC Liefering, in the ADMIRAL 2. Liga, as well as six matches for our UEFA Youth League side. At the start of the current season, the Austrian U21 international joined our Red Bulls' squad. He has since made 17 appearances and has become a key part of our defence under Danny Röhl.

We are delighted to have extended our partnership with Valentin Zabransky ahead of schedule. He has made tremendous progress over the past few months and is performing at a consistently high level. I am confident that he will continue to take further steps along his Salzburg Way. We want to support him on this journey and provide the environment for his continued development. This long-term agreement creates a solid foundation for that.

When I first moved to Salzburg to join the U14, my big dream was to one day play in the stadium for FC Red Bull Salzburg. At the start of this season, things suddenly moved very quickly - even I was a bit surprised at how well it all went! Since then, I’ve been enjoying every appearance, but I’m far from finished. This contract extension isn't a reason to sit back. Rather, it’s an incentive to push even harder and keep going. It definitely gives me a great deal of confidence and, naturally, also makes me proud.
