Joane Gadou is Your Player of the Month for April

Ahead of Schlager, Nene and Bidstrup

He did it at the second time of asking. Youngster Joane Gadou has won the Player of the Month trophy on his second nomination! Close to 50% of your votes went to the Frenchman, whose defensive stability impressed with each passing week in April. With Joane's central defensive partner Samson Baidoo winning the honour the previous month, the title therefore remains in the hands of our defence.

To celebrate, for a week there will be free Gadou names and numbers on every jersey purchase, whether in the Bullshop or in our Online Fanshop with the code GADOU23. There are even more ways to save, with all our current jerseys coming with a full 50% discount along with the rest of our PUMA season range!

1st Joane Gadou (48.64%)

While our defence may have lost some of the stability it showed in March, Joane once again showed composure well beyond his 18 years - playing all 90 minutes in all five matches.

2nd Alex Schlager (22.34 %)

The Austrian international had to miss the first matches of the month with adductor problems, before Alex returned to our goal for the two WAC encounters - and reminded us just what we had missed with a number of stunning saves.

3rd Dorgeles Nene (17.03 %)

Dorgeles was our biggest goal threat in April. With his goals against BW Linz and Austria Vienna (a brace), he helped us to two wins, while his penalty at WAC looked like a mere consolation - but would actually keep us ahead of the rivals if we finish the season level on points due to our superior head-to-head record.

4th Mads Bidstrup (11.99 %)

Our tireless midfield engine. Mads led our boys through turbulent weeks as a captain and anchored our midfield superbly - with the Dane performing very well against BW Linz, Austria Vienna and against WAC at home.
