This Wednesday our team are to start preparing again for the rest of the season. After starting with performance testing, the first training session follows on Thursday at the Taxham training centre. Our boys have four-and-a-half weeks of training in total, four friendly matches and a training camp available in order to get ready for the start of February - when we will be plunged into a fast and furious start with three home matches (v Sturm Graz, Austria Lustenau and AS Roma) in three different competitions. The first days of the new year will be intensive, as a consequence. We are to start training on Thursday before two sessions each on Friday and Saturday, with one session on Sunday morning scheduled by Matthias Jaissle.
Matthias Jaissle and his support team are well refreshed after the holiday and looking forward to the first phase of the preparation period:
World Cup stars, returning men and Liefering youngsters
Three of our four World Cup participants will be there for the start of training. Only Luka Sucic, who played to the very end of the tournament with Croatia (third place) will start a little later on 8 January. Also returning to training are Amankwah Forson (from Altach) and Daouda Guindo (from St. Gallen). Promoted from FC Liefering is our youngster and co-operation player Karim Konate.
