four goals in 17 Minutes
Erling Braut Haland is regarded as one of the greatest young talents in European football. The tall striker has already played 30 matches in the Norwegian top flight at the age of just 18, scoring 11 goals and providing four assists.
In July Haland was able to score four goals within the space of just 17 minutes in a 4-0 victory for Molde against league leaders Brann Bergen. In Molde's 3-0 victory in the UEFA Europa League against Hibernian on Thursday, the youngster scored twice to put the Norwegian club in the play-off.
Sporting director Christoph Freund says on the new signing:
Haland is one of the biggest talents in European football, and he has decided to continue his promising career at FC Red Bull Salzburg. That he is joining us despite receiving offers from several big clubs makes us proud and shows that we have made a really good name for ourselves in Europe. Haland is a tough and fast striker with an incredible scoring instinct. He has just turned 18 though, and we will give him all the time needed to further develop.
Erling Braut Haland says on the transfer:
I have so much to thank Molde for and I will give everything for the club until the end. Of course I am also looking forward to my new team. My aims with Red Bull Salzburg will be to win lots of titles and be successful in Europe too.
