FC Red Bull Salzburg has temporarly released coach Matthias Jaissle. The reason for that is the wish of the 35-year-old German, expressed just two days before the start of the 2023/24 ADMIRAL Bundesliga season, to move to Al-Ahli SFC. The discussions required with the Saudi Arabian club on the matter are entering their final phase.
Assistant coaches in charge
Matthias Jaissle will therefore not be on the bench for the match against SCR Altach. Taking his place will be current assistant coaches Florens Koch and Alexander Hauser.

General manager Stephan Reiter: "Our view is that a coach that is so busy exploring a new job just two days before the start of such an important season should not be in charge when it starts. We want to start the new season full of energy and conviction. We need 100% focus from all those involved for that."
