Noah Okafor leaves for AC Milan

23-year-old Swiss striker joins top Serie A club

Noah Okafor has left for Italy's Serie A, and is joining AC Milan, who finished the competition fourth last season.

In winter 2020, the 23-year-old Swiss attacker swapped Basel for Salzburg, and he has since made 110 appearances for us scoring 34 goals and providing 23 assists. One of these goals - a stunning effort that gave us the lead against the Milan side in the UEFA Champions League last season – helped Okafor gain an instant impression at his new club.

In his three-and-a-half years in Salzburg, the determined striker made 14 appearances for the Swiss national team and played in the World Cup in Qatar.

Noah is leaving our club after winning four league titles and three Austrian cups.

Noah has developed really well in recent years on all levels. He has celebrated great successes, has performed really well in the Champions League and scored lots of goals. I am sure that he will show his extraordinary ability on this big European stage of Serie A too. AC Milan is a really cool move for him, and we wish him all the very best for his future!

Moving to FC Red Bull Salzburg was a really important step in my career, and I can look back now on an incredible time with so many highlights. I had the chance to play at a very high level and show what I can do in the Champions League. I am very grateful to everyone in the club, and I am leaving Salzburg with great memories of a top club.
