Strahinja Pavlovic, who has played 20 times for Serbia, is joining us from AS Monaco and has signed a contract until 30 June 2027. The transfer is subject to the receipt of a work permit - as is usually the case in signing non-EU citizens.
The versatile 21-year-old left-footed defender has been with the French outfit since 2020, but spent the past few years on loans to former club Partizan Belgrade, Cercle Bruges and most recently FC Basel.
Strahinja Pavlovic is to wear the number 31 shirt for our Red Bulls and will join training on 29 June.

Views on the transfer
Christoph Freund:
We have signed an extremely versatile, determined and physically strong young player in Strahinja Pavlovic. He already has some experience, and I think not too many players his age have 20 international appearances already. We are expecting a few things from him, but we will give him time, of course, to adjust to his new environment and new playing style.
Strahinja Pavlovic:
I am very pleased to now be a FC Red Bull Salzburg player. I have heard a lot about the club, and I know that they have a strong focus on young players here. I am one of them now and would like to show what I can do. I want to be part of it too when it comes to winning titles and doing well in the Champions League.
