Benji Sesko is your Player of the Month for April 2023

Wins ahead of Seiwald, Pavlovic and Capaldo

We had a month of highs and lows. The key thing was that we ended April on top after a win in the clash at the Bundesliga summit, and we were unbeaten throughout the month. Our four candidates for our Player of the Month vote got stuck in all over the pitch as we continued our title push. Sharpshooter Benji Sesko emerged as the winner.

Benjamin Sesko (68.18%)

The Slovenian has made himself a contender for top goalscorer as he is now just three goals behind the league's most prolific striker Guido Burgstaller. Benji scored in April in Klagenfurt, netted twice against Austria Vienna and sank a stunner in the table-topping clash against Sturm Graz.

Nicolas Capaldo (3.89%)

Our gaucho showed his great attacking worth with the massive opening goal in Graz and with an assist against Austria Vienna. Nico has also shown his quality in so many other ways. The tireless midfield battler leads our press from the first whistle to the last and gets just everywhere around the field.

Strahinja Pavlovic (5.37%)

Strahinja stops them all. So many opponents' attacks have been ended by our Serbian defensive rock. His solid showing against Sturm Graz is enough in itself to earn a nomination, but that was no fluke with Pavlo a constant thorn in opposing attacks.

Nicolas Seiwald (22.56%)

A winner and distributor of the ball par excellence! Hardly anyone creates more big chances. After being selected in a central role in the month's first fixtures, Nici was moved into a defensive midfield role due to our injury situation. He has taken the captain's armband for the past two games with Andreas Ulmer injured and led our boys expertly through two big and intense encounters.
