it is the biggest international honour for Young footballers, and the winner is ... made in Salzburg!
After Erling Haaland took fourth place last year with his immense performances, just missing out on the top three, there was just no stopping the Norwegian this year. Big Earl beat an illustrious list of names such as Ansu Fati of FC Barcelona and Alphonso Davies of FC Bayern to first place.
There was a Red Bull not far behind them at all in Dominik Szoboszlai. The Hungarian took a superb eighth place in the vote for the best youth footballer in Europe under the age of 21!
The award has been organised by Italian sports publication Tuttosport since 2003. Among the past winners are Wayne Rooney, Lionel Messi and Paul Pogba. Last year, Joao Felix took the honour following his 126-million Euro transfer to Atletico Madrid.
