Amar Dedic is your Player of the Month for August 2023

Kjaergaard, Bidstrup and Konate also on short list

If he were running for president, that is what you would call an outright majority: Amar Dedic has won the Player of the Month Award for August 2023 with 50.04 per cent of all votes! A richly deserved award too, with the Bosnian operating at a world-class level in a squad where everyone performed to the very best of their ability.

Overview of the four nominees:

He may have just turned 21, but our Bosnian full-back wearing the captain's armband is really flourishing already. Amara proved in every match in August just how dependable he has become! He put in a spectacular showing against Hartberg with two goals and an assist in a big win.

Karim Konate (23.27%)

You can't ask for much more from a striker. Karim Konate netted in four matches in the month of August - both in the Austrian Bundesliga and in the big friendly against Inter Milan. That makes us even more pleased that the 19-year-old extended his contract until 2028 a few days ago.

Mads Bidstrup (19.46%)

In Mads Bidstrup another U21 Danish Dynamite joined our ranks in the summer. The midfield battler has needed no time at all to settle into our side. The new signing started all matches in August and impressed with his challenging ability along with his forward drive. His spectacular assist against Austria Vienna was one moment in particular to remember.

Maurits Kjaergaard (7.23%)

Your wish for more goal threat from set pieces has been granted! We have kept on peppering opposing goals from deal balls, and corner specialist Maurits Kjaergaard has played a big part in that. Our long injury list forced the 20-year-old midfield star to prove his worth as a real all-rounder, even having to take on the left-back role against TSV Hartberg and WAC.
